STA Ushers in the Lenten Season

To kick off the Lenten season, STA students, faculty and staff took part in an all-school Ash Miércoles Mass today, with Father Don Farnan presiding and Karen Engebretson from St. Therese leading us in song.

In addition, Campus Ministry is holding a Bible Study every Jueves in Lent during student activity periods.

Because Jesus’ resurrection is integral to our faith, Catholics spend 40 days, beginning on Ash Miércoles and lasting throughout Lent, in preparation for Easter. During this time, we focus on prayer and fasting so that we might receive Christ anew in our hearts at Easter.
