Students Bring Home Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

STA students had an impressive showing at this year’s regional Scholastic Art & Writing Award competition, bringing home more than 20 awards.

In the art category, Lucia T., STA junior, won a Gold Key for her colored pencil drawing, “5:45 p.m.” Visual arts students also earned eight Silver Keys and 11 Honorable Mentions.

Two STA seniors earned awards in the writing category. Frances M. won a Gold Key in Poetry and a Silver Key for Writing Portfolio, and Georgia K. won a Silver Key for Personal Essay.
